My site is losing backlinks, what now?

The new Link Explorer: overview
As soon as we enter a URL in the search bar, we are almost immediately presented with a clear overview. Here we see the links with the associated DA that we are used to from Moz. However, the algorithm to calculate the DA of a domain seems to have been adjusted in the new tool. So it is not strange if you suddenly see deviating DAs of domains. This is also why it is important to use the new Link Explorer for the most reliable results.

Unique domains
Under the heading 'Linking Domains' you can see how many unique external domains link to the website you entered in the Link Explorer. In other words, how many unique outgoing links come in on the website. An important factor in link building is the number of unique domains. Four backlinks from four different domains with a DA of 15 have considerably more value than four backlinks from one domain with a DA of 25.

Incoming links
'Inbound Links' is very interesting in connection with link building activities. Inbound Links works just like the backlink tool Majestic, but in this case it is only a bit more organized. The results here are also a bit less extensive than Majestic, but nevertheless very useful for a quick scan.

Top 50 keywords
Finally, in 'Overview' we can see which keywords achieve a top 50 ranking in Google. Under 'Ranking Keywords' we can see the number of keywords a website ranks with. For now this only works for indonesia mobile number list Google US, Link Explorer is still in beta.

Newly discovered and lost links are also made visible with the Link Explorer. If you click on the green or red bars in the graph, you will see from which domains those links have been removed (or set to no-follow). This is presented clearly, up to the date of the change. With this metric you can therefore keep track of which domains have removed or changed their links to your site. With this information you can approach the owners of the domains again to have a link placed.

The most valuable backlinks
Another useful insight from Link Explorer is the 'Top followed links'. With this metric, we as SEO specialists get a better view of which links pass on the most value (according to Moz). This is categorized by Moz with the PA metric (Page Authority). Where the DA calculates the value of the entire domain (the root domain), the PA relates to individual pages of a website. For example, with home pages it is important to always include the PA when considering placing a link to your own domain.
